Abstract Objective To analyze the changes of immunologic functions by detecting lymphocytes subsets rate in peripheral blood of the residents surrounding with radon hot springs. Methods By random sampling methods, 42 residents surrounding radon hot springs were selected as the radon group, and 44 residents with same living habit but with no contact with hot springs as control. The percentage rate of lymphocyte subsets (CD3+、CD4+ CD8-、CD4-CD8+,CD4+/CD8+-,TCR/CD3) of the tow groups was tested by FACSAria flow cytometer among two groups. Results In radon group the averages of CD3+ (t=-4.086, P < 0.01)、CD4+ CD8-(t=-5.7, P < 0.01)、TCR/CD3(t=-2.318,P < 0.05) and CD4+/CD8+ (t=-4.991,P < 0.01) were significantly higher than those of the control group. In radon group, the CD4-CD8+ were significantly low(t=3.162, P < 0.01). Conclusion High radon springs could change the lymphocyte Subsets rate and probably affect immunologic functions.
