Abstract Objective To study the radioactivity level of food in the vicinity of the nuclear power in China and determine whether it will impact on health.Methods Select main nuclear power plants as references and analyse radiation levels of food around them according to the monitoring data of concerned agencies in some provinces where the nuclear power plants situated.Results Radioactive level of food around all nuclear power plants have not significant changes and keep in the bottom level,the results are in line with China's food radioactive survey results and the monitoring data.Conclusion The additional dose to the public caused by radioactive level of food around nuclear power plants is less than the national limit and won't have impact on human health.
