Abstract In CT non-scanning area, body surface shielding protection is a simple and effective method to reduce the radiation dose of the examinee, and it is also the basic requirement of the national industry standards. According to a review of some investigative reports in our country, there are some problems existing to varying degrees in different areas and different levels of medical institutions such as for CT examinee personal radiation protective equipment, configuration rationality is deficient, utilization rate is not high, use method is improper, routine maintenance is not in place, and the medical personnel, the public or the examinee does not know enough about the basic knowledge of radiation protection, etc which need to be improved constantly.
