Abstract In this pa per unscheduled DNA synthesis (UDS) was investigated in peripheral immune splenic lymphocytes and sperm cells of BALB/c mice, while exposed to internal contamination of exciting energy resource 147Pm of fluorescent paint with different radio activities.Experimental results indicat that the ultraviolet (UV) induced UDS of splenic lymphocytes and sperm cells revealed a statistically significant increase by low radio activities of 147Pm at the range of 3.7×101~3.7×102 Bq/g.But when the radio activities of 147Pm increased to 3.7×103 Bq/g, the UV induced UDS of splenic lymphocytes and sperm cells were significantly depressed.
