Abstract This article explains the research on the rehabilitating feffects and its mechanism of IL-6 on hemotopoietic and immunological function.The results indicate that IL-6 can not only accelerate the recovery of peripheral blood, but also improve the lymphocyte transformtion rate of splenic cells.It raise the survival rate of irradiated mice.The mechanism is due to the accelerative action on the recovery of hematopoietic and immunological function in exposed mice.This procedure needs a longer time.It is not due to the inhibitory irradiation upon programmed cell death.
