Abstract Objective Biological dose estimation was made by using chromsome aberration analyses for victims of the 60Co radiation source accident.The dynamic changes of cytogenetics for victims were observed.Methods Lymphocyte cultures, preparation slides and stains were performed as our laboratory protocol with modification.The radiation status was tested by using Poisson distribution.Results The biological doses were estimated to be 2.42 ("Tian") and 2.17 ("Wang") respectively on the 11th day.The doses were coincided with the physical dose and clinical diagnosis.The dicentrics and ring frequencies decreased with time.Conclusion Chromosome aberration analysis is an ideal method for estimating biological doses.
