Abstract Objective To analyze the difference among the cell survival probability (S) results, which were measured and calculated with microscope, flow cytometry and MTT methods respectively. Methods For the same cell sample after irradiation, the S value was deduced by the above mentioned three methods respectively and was compared with each other. Results Among the S values obtained from three methods, it can be seen that, the lowest one is from flow cytometry, the largest one is from MTT method, which is so much large as several times as the tolal values of the other two. Conclusion It's better to choose the right method for different experimental objective, otherwise perhaps the error would be caused by the inexact data.
