Abstract Objective To introduce the sequential substitute calculation law to calculate the design thickness of radiation shield.Methods Using the sequential substitute calculation law to calculate the shield design thickness of radiation protection according to the relevant formula.Results To calculate the thickness of shielding design by sequential substitute calculation law is both simple and time-saving,and the obtained results are precise.Conclusion the sequential substitute calculation law is fit for calculating the shield design of radiation protection.
