Abstract Objective The bottleneck technique of measuring Radon and its daughter by solid track technique was studied, and the influence of background Radon on individual monitoring reliability and effective control methods were discussed.Methods According to the law of statistics, referring to the relevant literature, combined with the dosimetry analysis, the judgment threshold and detection lower limit by the solid track technology for Radon and its daughters were deduced, and the radiation dose was estimated.Results By using the method of application examples, the judgment threshold and detection lower limit of specific examples were given.Conclusion The probability of β error is not only related to the judgment threshold LC, but also to the net track count. The larger the value of net track meter is, the smaller the probability of β error is. The minimum detectable track count can be given, and the minimum detectable Radon concentration can be estimated, which improves the reliability of radon individual dose monitoring.
