Effects of different doses of X-ray irradiation on the apoptosis rate of peripheral blood lymphocytes in interventional radiology workers |

Abstract Objective To compare the differences of apoptosis rate of lymphocyte and Fas expression rate in the blood of isolated peripheral blood of interventional radiological workers and healthy non-radiological workers after different doses of X-ray irradiation.Methods To collect the above two groups of peripheral blood on an empty stomach in the morning and blood were divided into control group and the irradiation group.Control group don't illuminate X-ray, irradiation group were given 1, 2, 4 Gy X-ray irradiation dose respectively. The dose rate was 1.0 Gy/min, lymphocytes were isolated and cultured after irradiation. After 12 hours, lymphocyte apoptosis rate and Fas expression rate were detected by flow cytometry. The data were processed by flowjo and SPSS software.Results There was no significant difference in the early, late and total apoptotic rate of T-lymphocytes between the two groups(t=4.58,P>0.05). The difference of Fas expression rate was statistically significant between the two groups(t=6.75,P<0.05). There was no significant difference in the early, late and total apoptotic rate of T-lymphocytes and Fas expression rate in each group (t=3.96,P>0.05).Conclusion Different doses of X-ray irradiation had no significant effect on the apoptosis rate of peripheral blood T lymphocytes and Fas expression rate in interventional radiology workers and healthy non-radiology workers.
