Abstract Objective To get the X-ray spectrum under radiotherapy, diagnosis and protection fields. Methods The simulations were performed using different combinations of filters and tube Voltages with Geant4. All the relevant physical processes were included in the calculations:Compton scattering, photoelectric effect, Rayleigh scattering, bremsstrahlung and ionization. Results The X-ray spectrum and mean values of the spectrum under radiotherapy, diagnosis and protection fields. Conclusion The X-ray spectrum under radiation, diagnostic and protection fields can be acuately simulted with Geant4.
