Abstract In this paper we reported the findings of cytogenetic study for exposed persons which was performed within a period of 15~26 years after a single exposure to γ-rays at overexposure dose (10.0~46.8cGy).Among these persons, 56 cases were studied with chromosome aberration analysis 22 cases (direct method) and 42 cases (culure method) with micronucleus test.The results indicated that frequencies of chromosome aberrations and micronuclei in the irradiated group were significantly higher than those of controls, but a relationship between the radiation dose and the frequencies of chromosome aberrations and of micronuclei was not found.
