| The Effect of microRNA-424-5p on Invasion and Migration of Ionizing Radiation-induced Pulmonary Adenocarcinoma A549 Cells |

Abstract Objective To investigate the effect of microRNA-424-5p(miR-424-5p) on invasion and migration of ionizing radiation-induced A549 cells.Methods Stem-loop RT-PCR was performed to test the expression of miRNAs; Transwell assays were used to evaluate the ability of cells invasion and migration.Results The expression of miR-424-5p in A549 cells was induced by 4 Gy dose of X-rays irradiation. The invasive and migrated ability of A549 cells was enhanced after overexpression of miR-424-5p. The invasive and migrated ability of A549 cells after inhibition of miR-424-5p and 4 Gy X-rays of irradiation was declined compared with that of irradiation.Conclusion In the present study, 4 Gy X-rays induce the expression of miR-424-5p in A549 cells. miR-424-5p regulates 4 Gy X-rays indviced-invasion and migration of A549 cells.
