Abstract Objective Based on the study of the distribution characteristics of the proton beam, to propose the testing items for the quality control of the proton beam. Methods According to the medical electron accelerator testing items, extract the proton beam testing items was decided. Results The testing items and indexes of radiotherapy proton beam were obtained. Conclusion The testing items can fully test the performance of proton beam.
