Abstract Objective The difference of the new committee charter on health standards and method of management on health standards was probed to provide a reference for applying the new files, and to further promote the development of management on health standards.Methods Referring to the name, organization and duty of the commission on health standards, and the management of professional commissions and committee members, differences of two versions of committee charter on health standards were compared and analysed. Combined with the actual situation, referring to every part of management on health standards, differences of two versions of method of management on health standards were compared and analysed.Results The new committee charter on health standards adjusted the name and construction of the commission on health standards, improved the duty of the commission on health standards, strengthened the management of professional commissions and committee members. The new method of management on health standards clearly indentified the requirements on each part of the management on health standards, strengthened regulations on management of the initiation, drafting, examination and so on, adjusted the process of examination of initiation and approval of health standards.Conclusion The new files of the management on health standards play an important role of norm and guidance for the management on health standards, and provide a strong guarantee for the promotion of quality and efficiency of health standard work.
