Abstract Objective To discuss and research results and significance of PET/CT system performances in the verification test. Methods According to National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA), manufacturer standard and Radionuclide imaging device-Characteristics and test conditions-Part 1:Positron emission tomography(GB/T 18988.1-2013), with phantom of PET testing, performance verification testing was done as to spatial resolution, sensitivity, scatter fraction count losses and randoms measurement(NECR) performance. Results For firstly testing 14 PET/CT, comparing with the manufacturers' standard values, the data the three system performance is up to standard for the clinical application. The result is as follow, spatial resolution:1cm transverse:(4.91 ±0.75) mm, max 6.24mm, min 4.10mm, axial(5.02 ±0.78) mm, max 7.00mm, min 4.12 mm 10 cm transverse:(5.54 ±0.80) mm, max 6.88mm, min 4.65mm, axial(5.77 ±0.40) mm, max 6.56mm, min 5.33 mm; sensitivity:(7.4 ±2.0) s-1·kBq-1, max 10.6 s-1·kBq-1, min 4.1 s-1·kBq-1; scatter fraction:(35.1 ±6.4)%, max 44.5%, min 23.6%; NECR(10.24 ±5.02)×104 s-1, max 17.70×104 s-1, min 2.97×104 s-1. Conclusion It is necessary to enhance the effect of quality control (QC) of SPECT planar and the fundamentality of the performance test, so that the devices come to the demands for clinical practice.
